State-of-the-art employee training center located within the APSI corporate facility in Pavo, Georgia

APSI remediation personnel receive extensive training in the following areas:

 

  • Building sciences including building ventilation strategies

  • Psychometrics

  • Microbial Sampling Protocols

  • In-house Quality Control

  • Building Envelope Systems

  • Microbial containments and course origin

  • HVAC systems design, fabrication, installation and operation

  • Evaluation and documentation of proper equipment operation

  • Building Codes and Industry Standards

  • Uniform Mechanical Code regarding air filtration for General Hospitals

  • Code Required Pressure Relationships and Ventilation of certain hospital areas

 

*It is important to note, and vital to our company's success, that all abatement personnel working on-site will be full-time APSI employees trained in proper environmental engineering controls.  This does not guarantee that all positions offered by us are considered full-time.

Safety and Other Guidlines

 

In order to safely perform the work APSI has established applicable Health and Safety Programs and Practices as described in "Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry 29 CFR Part 1910"  and "Safety and Health Regulations for Construction 29 CFR Part 1926".  We take our employee's safety very seriously and consider it a top priority when working within client facilities.  If, for whatever reason, an employee deems a situation unsafe, it will be vigorously analyzed and resolved.

 

We have implemented a comprehensive written Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Program that includes a written Respiratory Protection Program (See 29 CFR 1910, Subpart 1, Sections 132 - 139, as amended April 8, 1988).  Our field work complies with all applicable OSHA regulations and will provide copies of written programs to address the following:

 

  • Written Respiratory Protection Program

  • Control of Hazardous Energy: Lockout/Tag out (29 CFR 1910.47)

  • Permit-Required Confined Spaces (29 CFR 1910.46

  • Fall Protection (29 CFR 1926 Subpart M)

  • Hazard Communication (29 CFR 1910.1200)

  • Blood Borne Pathogens

  • OSHA 10 Hour

  • Lift Training

  • Ladder Safety

 

APSI also provides Biological Containment protocols and monitoring requirements which MUST be followed to prevent serious injury.  Personal Protective Equipment is also provided to ensure the success of our professional staff.  We are a Drug-Free Workplace and implement periodic random employee screening.  Finally, we conduct  an Infection Control & Risk Assessment and all lift equipment training necessary to complete vital tasks.
